Talking Business - Rebekah Johnson

Rebekah Johnson, CEO of Washington, D.C.- based Numeracle.com, provides leadership to the Communications Protection Coalition (CPC), a work group sponsored by PACE (Professional Association for Customer Engagement). The CPC is working on the unintended consequences of the Federal Communications Commission’s Robocall Strike Force.

The CPC looks to reduce the millions of unwanted and often fraudulent calls received by consumers. Many companies have been handicapped by having calls to their customers blocked in the effort to reduce unsolicited telemarketing calls.

Further discussion was held on a means to manage the thousands of phone lines that would be exempt from call labeling and blocking. Ms. Johnson stated that the CPC is currently working on the complex nature of the number of phone lines involved, the intermediaries that mask call numbers between carriers and call delivery of the calls to consumers.

Ms. Johnson provided cbsi with a summary of the CPC quarterly meeting, held in Washington on August 3rd. Listen HERE.

cbsi will be attending the PACE Washington Summit, Sept. 23-25th, and will provide further information on the CPCs efforts.
