Can’t escape it. It’s absolute.
The intersection and merger of the Insurance and Financial Services industries with technology is more commonly known as InsurTech and FinTech respectively.
For most people, these terms are left to the tech nerds and wizards that surround us. Yet, you need not have any programming experience to appreciate the value and impact technology has within our industry.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are active today for many banks and insurance companies. As an example, this article explains how, for banks, AI is automating and personalizing customer service in the form of chat bots and voice recognition systems.
AI is already supporting Insurance Carriers with claims processing.
So what does this all mean for us? Not exactly sure.
One thing is certain: change is here and technology is the fuel. Perhaps some of the information within this issue will provide insight.
